Yesterday before a seminar tasting thing I read in the main library downtown for hours. Got through most of this. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/0786886404/ref=aw_d_detail?pd=1 . It's a book about the ice trade of the north east and selling ice in the tropics for the first time. Specifically the true story of Fred Tutor, it reads like a history adventure book with many defeats, interfamily fighting and lots of yellow fever. What are you reading?

In the last little while I've read: The Primal Screamer by Nick Blinko Wrong by Chris Walter (re-read) Animal Farm by Orwell and am currently reading Dry by Augusten Burroughs.
All in all, I think I'd only read the Blinko and Orwell again. And in the summer I read War Is A Force That Gives Us Meaning by Chris Hedges and A Language Older Than Words by Derrick Jensen, both of which i plan to re-read at some point.
Edit: Ah, and I guess I re-read Brave New World by Aldous Huxley this spring for the 3rd to 5th time. It's pretty well the best book.

Just about finished Shut Up and Sit Down by Brad Warner. Probably going to read Hardcore Zen by the same after this.

So entertaining. I'd love to craft a rider. It would have to include vegetarian party subs, weed/bongs, gin/beer, tums. I got to dig into Napalm Death's rider, that ruled.

Iggy and the Stooges rider doesn't leave much to chance, eh?
I'm reading Panthera leoel Asbo, State of England by Martin Amis. It's about a man of dubious character who suffers from class-hatred who wins a massive lottery and his reflective, orphaned nephew Des.

Just about finished Shut Up and Sit Down by Brad Warner. Probably going to read Hardcore Zen by the same after this. Easily my favourite author. I'd suggest reading Zen Dipped in Karma Wrapped in Zen before Hardcore Zen though. Not for any reason other than it's the best book in the series. What are your thoughts on Sit Down and Shut Up though?
