I have a story which I will tell in the following days of this band, Do not book grimers or whatever on a bill anytime future or past.
Amazing fun show for everyone, until I had to talk to these idiots for real.

This is all very fascinating to me. I met a Grimace at our show in Saskatoon, told me they were playing Regina.

I got an apology from them, still need to get my $450 cymbal back from the band however.
Anyways it ended up at the end of the night with the band saying how charging profit on records isn't punk and me explaining to them that you need to charge markup in order to run a record store/ distro / label for a more sustainable business venture and them calling me non punk.
The singer and I were kinda talking about doing a split with that filthy senoiritas band and all he kept saying was "what will you do for us" , " I don't want you guys selling records for profit" "I only want to put a record out on 9" vinyl". I explained to them that obscure sized records cost way more money and it would cost more money for the consumer even if they wanted to charge no mark up on the records which by default wouldn't be as punx.
Mere hours ago they were begging intellectual girls to buy grindcore records and playing guilt trips on everyone to give them money.
The bass player ended up saying how I wasn't in the same scene as them and I didn't have a DIY ethic, I lost my mind on him and gave him a very good speech on how he is a fucking idiot and peaced out. I was even going to give them records to help them on tour but that didn't end up happening for obvious reasons.
I'm just on my break and don't really have time to type this out very well but you can kinda get the jist of it.
TL:DR - Band was super punk by selling distro at cost but begged everyone for money and probably got into grindcore like 2 years ago.

Yeah. Lafabvre warned me against them. His exact words: "the worst band in the history of notes and beats".

Yeah. Lafabvre warned me against them. His exact words: "the worst band in the history of notes and beats". This makes me feel like a real asshole for enjoying them so much. Meh. Also, I remember the vocalist of the band getting angry at the guitarist for selling me a record and their CD for $5, instead of the $5.70 that he insisted would cover his costs (as the record was distro, I guess) and being fairly mystified at this apparent act of human altruism and naive disregard for self-preservation, both as a band and human beings. In any case, it strikes me as less shitty to hear all of this stuff espoused than it is that they stole from a band they played with and people who chose to come hangout with them. I mean, it definitely shows some kind of disconnect between abstract ideas and actual practice. It would seem to me that if you were so concerned about gouging other human beings on the cost of a record, based on the idea that monetary transactions of this nature constitute violence to a degree, then it would follow that stealing from them would be a more overt act of violence, and so, worse. No? Can I get a band voice? Thread sent? Also, Errol, I just remembered that I tried to steal a coffee maker from you by trying to cut the box open with my knife as you were holding it under your arm, under the assurance that I "drink more coffee than you". I'm sorry about that. I'm sure if I'd successfully stolen it, I would've returned it to you. And I'll try and not play with knives around you.

That said, I hope the fact I'm laughing about this right now doesn't affect the sincerity of that. I can't help it. Really fucking dumb.

Really fucking dumb. i laughed. laqwl!1 anyways. yeah, the band called me immediately after loading in to wherever when they got home, mentioning that a non-drummer band member loaded out and took my hi hat cymbals and dylan's artisan ride, not knowing it wasn't theirs (suspect much?). They left me 3 messages and 2 contact #'s, so I was considering it an accident. I kept in touch and they said they'd be through regina today (friday)... but so far no Grimace... I know its only 7:00 pm, but a phone call would have been nice. As for the shit between their superiority via grind and dylan's apparent lack thereof that went down after I went to bed... Inexcusable. inxs cusable
