That said, I hope the fact I'm laughing about this right now doesn't affect the sincerity of that. I can't help it. Really fucking dumb. i laughed. laqwl!1 anyways. yeah, the band called me immediately after loading in to wherever when they got home, mentioning that a non-drummer band member loaded out and took my hi hat cymbals and dylan's artisan ride, not knowing it wasn't theirs (suspect much?). They left me 3 messages and 2 contact #'s, so I was considering it an accident. I kept in touch and they said they'd be through regina today (friday)... but so far no Grimace... I know its only 7:00 pm, but a phone call would have been nice. As for the shit between their superiority via grind and dylan's apparent lack thereof that went down after I went to bed... Inexcusable. inxs cusable

GNG! So emily, is that $300 you're looking for for your first order in TOTAL? We, as a community, should be able to do this! I will be on board for the next order (I won't be able to for July). Get The Feeling Of Love's "So Chocolate" album!

Yeah it's beginning to sounds a bit nofunish. There would definitely be an online component where everything would be posted. It would be foolish not to do that. But I think it would also be important to have a table set up at lots of shows that I typically wouldn't attend. I'm focusing strictly on the distro and I'm being really realistic about it. Because this isn't going to be some sort of nofun type dealing. This is just buying and selling records that people want and if it flops it flops. I don't know what exactly to expect based on the climate here right now. if we had a working blog to build up bands then a distro would have a better chance. the blog idea, as i stated, is unrelated/off topic, but if that were a reality, and there was a stronger awareness of local bands (not just punks and their friends going to each others' shows), then a distro would have a stronger foundation

okay. so i wrote this and then realized i was way off topic. but a distro could work. theres gotta be one eventually.
i know its totally uncool/un-DIY (but not really) etc etc to do a blog, but thats a sure fire way to get people familiar with new shit while only investing their ears and time. in regina there are several areas of musical interest that are almost exclusively explored in basements and jam spots, but don't make their way to the stage often. sometimes thats a good thing, but if people were listening to each other more often, quickly, and for free, then maybe there'd be more bands and more shows with more styles of music. the cathedral village farts fest and the folk fest have been very instrumental in bringing out lesser-known talents and helping them network with other local musicians. i propose a kind of hub for everyones band camp and soundcloud links, among others.
