So having a cast on my leg gives me a lot of time to surf the web. I was curious for nostalga after talking about the upcoming Xmas show and checked out some 2007 secret Santa pics and re read some old qcp and facebook threads.
What are some of your favorite qcp/show moments? What do you foresee in the future from qcp?
I really enjoyed the mirq & secret haus this summer. Nothing better then downtown for shows.
It can now be told that I never ever liked nofun.ca infact reading that thread makes my blood boil. That being said putting on live angry music and not talking about comics attracted "the doodlebops" some of whom I'm happy to call my friends. Who saw that coming?
I am excited about the upcoming hkr events and releases and it's cool that there is still strong support for the events we do and I hope people have as much as fun as we get stressed putting them on.

I'm stoked to start working with some of these younger bands like FPG and Septic Paste, really try to bring everyone and their ideas together, mix young and old, etc.
Also new bands from older dudes, like Robin and the Hairy Bats (really stoked on that recording) and a new Ska band I heard was coming together among friends.
Xmas show will rule as usual.
Also stoked to see End Program/Fuquored, Off With Their Heads, Propagandhi, Municipal Waste and package.
And I'm stoked for touring and stuff with my own bands, playing with Propagandhi and then doing some Western dates with K96 in December, and a summer trip (probably through the states) with RRB, with an already confirmed festival appearance that is still a secret.
All in all, things seems to be in a good place for underground music in Regina, even though things are always so unstable given our size. The Merc, Secret Haus, even Germy Club have all been much needed homes.
And finally, Chris Jenson is putting on shows now, so look the fuck out.

This summer was both fun and just really stressful in terms of shows. I could go on the typical rant about people supporting the scene blah blah but I won't. The distro went really well, but I've had to slow down with that because of work and school. Really stoked on the Napalm Death show. Really stoked on all the new bands that emerged this summer in particular. Matt Carr takes the cake for being in the most bands in this city I think and it's also rad that DMD is in a band again. There's lots of good shows coming up this fall. No comment on FPG.
Also, this city doesn't need anymore ska bands. Seriously, fuck ska.

Taking some small delight in the fact that Shoemosher lives in the weed Mecca of Canada.

Because the picture you posted, as well as most posts you make indicate that you hate weed. I find it funny that you live in BC, do you hate most of the people there?

I'm st0ked for chris jensen doing shows, about time is right
my highlights of the year were definately watching shearing pinx, nu sensae, and the ketamines play in my living room. fist city being cut off was beyond shitty
the harvest dance was a blast
and so was mayday! Bloody Murder was probably one of my brightest highlights so far. i still get those songs stuck in my head.
in the last 15 months i've dealt with 10+ persoanl deaths and its weighed me down, but its only gonna get better from here, amirite?!
stoked tea back hardcore lol
