I talked with a few people about this whole situation, and hearing Wade in fact didn't pick the bands confuses me. Makes me think that it was supposed to happen that way, and the agent just decided last minute to pick names off the list, based off of the accomplishments that I listed (previous shows, ticket sales, facebook likes, etc.). I will say, all 4 bands played awesome sets, and I'm glad some people enjoyed the show. I never realized people would get so worked up over a situation like this, and start calling me a liar. I will gladly explain exactly what I said to a few people who came up and said Wade hadn't picked the bands. I have emailed the agent and expressed my confusion, and have yet to hear back on the situation. I'm certainly not worked up, everything gets exaggerated on QCP. And I didn't ever even come right out and accuse you at first, I just pointed out that something is always fishy when you are involved. Its been nothing but frustrating dealing with you. But I don't want a witch hunt, I just always want the truth, especially when it comes to things I really care about. So what you are still saying is that you had ABSOLUTELY no say in the bands that opened? Jessie talked to you that night, and you seemed confused, but if you still have no idea who picked the bands at your own show, that is fucked up. Is it Kreeft that picked them then? If so, that's a stupid move on his part, but it would not be your fault. But why would you let him? I would never let someone on the other side of the country tell me what to do with a show in Regina, that's a deal breaker for me.

I'm saying I submitted a list of bands that were interested to Adam Sylvester, and I got a response months after submitting the list saying that these were the bands chosen. I thought it was pretty messed up that someone else wanted to choose bands, but I thought it would have been more like a recommendation from Wade, like any band says that they really want ________ to open their show when they come through.

Why the fuck would you agree to that, especially cause you said in this thread that you don't even like Hours or Empire Choir? Also, Gallows were hanging around the tattoo shop the next night just mocking the openers of the night, and nobody wants that, not even clueless agents. So the whole thing is a blunder, doesn't really matter where the responsibility lies.

The People vs. Brad Kohl beef is way hotter than the Shoe vs. Andy beef. I can barely contain myself.

I'm not the biggest fan of either band musically, but they're all nice, genuine people. As for them opening, I am not going to be agreeing to anything like that again, because everyone got so butt hurt over it. Sure, there was probably better suited bands to open, but whoever (The agent, or someone else) picked them, and for a reason unknown to me. Can't we just accept the fact, and move on?

I can't say that I was super worked up about this either, but I did want to get to the root of it simply because like Dylan, I agree that there always seems to be something fishy happening at your shows.
Most shit I keep to myself because I don't feel its necessary to spread rumors, but the truth is, I have had a LOT of bands approach me that you have worked with that have complaints and say that you have done things that I don't agree with.
It would be pointless to sit here and mention what each of those rumors are because there will be an excuse or a denial for every single one anyways. THE POINT IS that people keep saying shit about you. People that only know you through a business transaction. Sooner or later you are going to have to accept that obviously people will be suspicious about you because only so many comments can be JUST rumors. The truth is in there somewhere.

Well, and also, like I said, when the headlining band is also like "what the fuck is the deal with those opening bands?" something went wrong along the way.

When I asked that Wade dude on Sunday who picked the opening bands, he told me that as far as he knew, the promoter did. It certainly wasn't the bands' choice. They found that insinuation ridiculous. As far as Gallows mocking the opening bands: not really and it was just the one guy. Him and my friend from BB were certainly disappointed by the choice, however.
