I don't know. I find that there's a line between what is empowering and what is whorish. I mean. So many women have nudes done when they are pregnant, and that's absolutely beautiful. I think that it depends on the message that it is conveying. These probably makes you feel different than the pictures of Rachel and her boob twin.

I'd say society made things okay when women started to use their naked body to empower (sp?) themselves in a male dominated world. I don't understand how women think being naked empowers them at all. I'm saying, sometimes being naked rules.

I actually feel really gross after seeing another girl naked last night as she stripped for a room full of drunk men. Her attempts to appear sexy were boarder line offensive and made me very thankful i have a girlfriend who is, not so much a prude, but someone who has self respect and upholds a respectable moral standard. Its moments like that that make you appreciate the fact your girlfriend is not a whore.

Baby belly photography is in a wholly different realm than MySpace-style cellphone titty pictures.
There is a difference between "NUDES!!!" and artistic works, created by talented folks, with some nakedness content.
Female empowerment = confidence. Some women are at their most confident when they're nude... but here is my plea to them: strip for your significant other, walk around your house naked, streak if you must, just don't be dumb enough to document it.

I'm just sick of "nudity = confidence = empowerment." I'm not a quaker by any stretch - but trust me, just because a girl poses nude does not mean she's a confident, self-aware woman. Most of these girls are neurotic and totally insecure. I know there's a difference between art and smut and these suicidegirls like to pretend that what they do is art. It isn't.
