Curious George, do you know the Appalachian Terror Unit? If not, you might really like it, its in the same vain as a lot of the bands we seem to both like. Yeah, I've heard this band before but never really listened to any of their records. I'll get on it.

Really into that band but I don't know much about hip-hop. Paging Mike/Virtue Like Dylan said, Pharcyde is great. I'd definitely reccomend Deltron 3030. It's acually my favourite Hip Hop album of all time. Also, Hieroglyphics' first album "Third Eye Vision" is really good, and it's a good way to get into all the individual artists involved, like Del The Funkee Homosapien and the Souls of Mischief. Here are 10 Rap albums I have decided yo have to listen to, in no specific order. 10) De La Soul- 3 Feet High and Rising 9) Outkast- ATLiens 8) Little Brother- GetBack 7) Monsta Island Czars- Escape from Monsta Island (MF Doom was in the group at this time) 6) MF Doom- Mmmmm Food 5) Deltron 3030- Deltron 3030 4) Nas- Illmatic 3) Hieroglyphics- Third Eye Vision 2) Slum Village- J-88 1) Dead Prez- Lets Get Free

I listened to Neurosis - Word As Law in between classes and homework on my iPod today, and I'd have to say, it fucking rules. It's pretty cool because it lets you see the transition Neurosis took from being a hardcore band to what they currently are. Also, these are great lyrics:
"Toiling our lives away
We learn to accept the petty rewards that we get From the feudal system of our modern day wage-slavery Setting goals for ourselves that cannot be met Through this system of self-perpetuating misery Always saying yes when we want to say no Because we're committed to our roles of subserviency Living high on stress, pretending that you're unaffected While denying the reality that you're dejected
Eraser The eraser will erase their will erase your face
Face the inevitability of extermination While you sit and passively watch Our earth's contamination
Infrequent possibilities will Pacify and rectify the inconsistencies
Common good shoved down your throat And the common enemy is common sense"

Deltron 3030 is good. I don't exactly know how to rate when I listen to hip-hop, I mostly just listen for the beats. Good rhymes and shit. Dunno what else to say about it I guess.
